Curtis Madigan specializes in the field of rhythm, musical timing, body position and movement. He integrates the SMA method to balance body and mind to restore wellness. As a Certified Liangong and Chi Gong Practitioner for over a decade, Madigan has taught at the University of Colorado, Berklee College of Music, and the University of Denver. He’s helped numerous musicians, doctors, and working professionals rapidly recover from tendonitis, numbness and immobility, sciatica, trigger finger, debilitating lower back pain, neck pain, coracoid impingement, wrist pain, and more. He has lectured internationally at UCLA, South Australia MTA, and numerous educational conferences on his theory of rhythm and how movement correlates with rhythmic perception, timing and wellness.
He has coached platinum selling recording artists, music professors, and thousands of students around the globe and is known for his penetrating insight to how body position, musical timing and rhythm affect balance in an individual.
Madigan has studied Martial Arts and Chi Gong with Sifu Matthew for more than a decade. He is the inventor of The Rhythm Compass™, creator of The Sound Formation Method™, He is a multi-instrumentalist performer, composer, the founder and CEO of Sound Formation, and a graduate of Berklee College of Music.
